As a driver with MET, he was very concerned about future bus service to the community's residents. Mayor McKinley responded by saying that the City is considering every option to keep the bus system in operation. One option being considered is a merger with the Regional Transit Authority. He also stated that the City has advanced MET a sum of $100,000 which is the City's next quarterly payment. Sharon Kreger, 312 Glendale Avenue, also a driver with MET, stated that she has heard much concern from her passengers that MET not be shut down. Moved by Angel, seconded by Wright that the above comments be received and placed on file. Motion carried. PETITION FROM PUBLIC 88950 - Moved by Wright, seconded by Miller that communication from Sign and Traffic Department transmitting request of residents of 1100 and 12.00 blocks of West Parker Street restricting parking on the north side of the street be received, placed on file, approved and the City Attorney instructed to publish an ordinance accordingly. REPORTS 88951 - Moved by Wright, seconded by Miller that communication from Clean Community Commission requesting the designation of the week of April 20-26, 1986 as Keep America Beautiful Week be received, placed on file and approved. Motion carried. 88952 - Moved by Wright, seconded by Miller that Waterloo Park Commission Minutes of February 14, 1986, Waterloo Airport Commission Minutes of March 11, 1986 and Waterloo Water Works 1985 Operating Report December 1984 and 1985 Audit Report and Financial Statements be received and placed on file. DOCUMENTS 88953 - In response to a question from Councilperson Lichty, Bob Stevenson, City Planner, stated that the below agreement would allow expenditures for the acquisition of right of way to be reimbursed at 85% with Federal funds.
