HEARING AND BID 88829 - Moved by Dowie, seconded by Wright that proof of publication of notice of public hearing on plans, specifications, etc. and taking of kids for FY 1986 Greyhound Track Access Road, Contract No. 284, as published in the Waterloo Courier on February 14, 1986 be received and placed on file. MISCELLANEOUS 88840 Prior to action on the Beer and Liquor License Applications, Cigarette Permit and Pawnbroker's License, Gene Geiger approached the microphone regarding the Pawnbroker's License for Joyce Rublack dba Happy Hocker, 2243 Independence Avenue. Mr. Geiger explained that this location does not have the appropriate City licenses and has been conducting business illegally. He stated that this business was not in compliance with the City Ordinance. Moved by Miller, seconded by Seeber that the following applications for Beer and Liquor Licenses be received, placed on file, approved and endorsed applications forwarded to the Iowa Beer and Liquor Control Department and the Cigarette Permit he approved: Beer and Liquor License Application Class C Yen Ching, 109 Commercial (Renewal) (Expires 3/16/87) plus Sunday sales Cigarette Permit The Piano Bar, 2000 Hawthorne Avenue and that the Pawnbroker's License for Joyce Rublack dba Happy Rocker, 2243 Independence Avenue, be received, placed on file and action tabled for one week.
