ADJOURNED HEARING
88992 - The Mayor announced that the time had arrived for the adjourned hearing on the
request to rezone from "C-2" Commercial District to "C -Z" Conditional Zoning,
property located along the east and west side of Alexandra Drive and southeasterly
of San Marnan Drive for the purposes of operating a temporary portable cement
mixing plant during the 1986 construction season for the San Marnan Drive
Reconstruction Project.
Bruce Radue, Schenk Engineering, spoke on behalf of Jerry Schoenfelder. He stated
that the mitigating measures that are being taken by the firm will help to
alleviate the potential for dust problems in the area.
Tom Green, representing Allied Construction Company, stated that his company will
comply with all regulations as set forth by the Planning Commission and City
Council. Consideration has been given to moving the operation to the westerly side
of Alexandra Drive if soil conditions permit. Also access to this site will be off
San Marnan Drive. A temporary entrance will be allowed during the construction
phase.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS
88995 - Kathy Oberle, 710 Forest Avenue, presented an article that appeared in the Spring
issue of "Citizens Clearinghouse for Hazardous Waste, Inc." It referred to the
special election that was held in 7.983 as to whether or not the County would take
over the ownership of the Black Hawk County Landfill. She asked that the City
Council review it and encouraged their attendance at the Board of Supervisors
Meeting scheduled for April 8, 1986 where this issue may be discussed.
