RESOLUTION NO. 2017-186
RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING
AS MARCH 27, 2017, TO APPROVE THE REQUEST
BY MICHAEL PRICE TO REZONE 1955 LOCKE AVENUE,
(FORMER KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS), FROM "R-4",
MULTIPLE RESIDENCE DISTRICT AND "R-2", ONE AND
TWO FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT, TO "C-2",
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, FOR THE REUSE OF THE SITE
AS AN EVENTS CENTER.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa shall meet in Harold E. Getty
Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa at 5:30 p.m. on the 27t` day of March, 2017, for
the purpose of considering and acting upon a proposed rezone, former Knights of Columbus
building at 1955 Locke Avenue, from "R-4", Multiple Residence District and "R-2", One and
Two Family Residence District, to "C-2", Commercial District, for the reuse of the site as an
events center and legally described as follows:
PLEASANT VIEW ADDITION TO WATERLOO, LOTS 1 THRU 5
INCLUDING THE EAST 20 FEET OF LOT 6, LOTS 114 THRU 120 AND
THAT PART OF THE ALLEY LYING IN THE BLOCK BOUNDED BY
EASTON AVENUE, LA PORTE ROAD, WISCONSIN STREET, AND LOCKE
AVENUE WHICH ADJOINS LOTS 1 AND 2 AND LOTS 119 AND 1120.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1P day of March 2017.
