RESOLUTION NO. 2017-168 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF CITY OWNED PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 519 E. 3RD STREET, 516 PINE STREET,AND 521 PINE STREET. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa is the owner of real properties in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as describe below, and WHEREAS, an offer to purchase said properties in the sum of$1.00 each has been made by JSA Development, LLC, and WHEREAS a public hearing was held on March 6 2017 at 5:30 .m. in the Harold E. p g p Getty Council Chambers, City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, as provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the proposal to sell and convey premises owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa,to JSA Development,LLC, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this council that said sale and conveyance should be made as proposed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,IOWA,AS FOLLOWS: 1. The following described real properties, as fully described in the published notice in the Waterloo Courier on February 24, 2017 is not presently needed and will not be needed in the foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its ownership is serving no municipal purpose, and 2. That the offer of JSA Development, LLC, to purchase real properties for the sum of $1.00 each, is hereby accepted for real property described as follows: 519 E. 3rd Street: COOLEY ADDITION, SW 30 FT LOT 4 BLK 63, SW 5 FT NE 30 FT SE 97.3 FT OF LOT 4 BLK 63, and NE 15 FT LOT 5 BLK 63, CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA. 516 Pine Street: COOLEY ADDITION, E 40 FT N 75 FT LOT 6 BLK 72 AND 10 FT ADJ ON EAST, CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA. 521 Pine Street: COOLEY ADDITION, W 50 FT LOT 1 BLK 68, and W 50 FT S 30 FT LOT 2 BLK 68, CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA. 3. That the City of Waterloo, Iowa conveys said parcels of real properties described above to JSA Development, LLC by Special Warranty Deeds. 4. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said Special Warranty Deeds. 5. That the originals of said Special Warranty Deeds, fully executed and acknowledged, are hereby approved and confirmed by this Council 6. That the Community Planning and Development Director is authorized and directed to deliver said Special Warranty Deeds to JSA Development, LLC upon receipt of$1.00 per parcel.
