RESOLUTION NO. 2017-179 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM GREY FOX PROPERTIES LLC, FOR TWO PARCELS OF REAL ESTATE LOCATED AT 200 MERRIMAN STREET AND 1527 E. 4TH STREET. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has received a donation of two (2) parcels purchased at tax sale, from members of Grey Fox Properties LLC, listed individually as: Michael B. Mowat and Gina M. Mowat, husband and wife and Barry J. Kubat and Michelle A. Kubat, husband and wife and, WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo was considering these properties for 657A, and WHEREAS, the property is generally described as 200 Merriman, and legally described as the following: SHILLIAM' S THIRD SUBDIVISION, THE WEST SIXTY-SIX (66) FEET OF LOT ONE (1) IN BLOCK TEN (10); SITUATED IN THE COUNTY OF BLACK HAWK AND STATE OF IOWA and 1527 E. 4th Street, and legally described as the following: NORTH ADDITION, THE NORTH FIFTY-TWO (52) FEET OF LOT ONE (1) IN BLOCK FOUR (4), THE NORTH FIFTY-TWO (52) FEET OF THE EAST TWENTY- ONE (21) FEET OF LOT (2) IN BLOCK FOUR (4); SITUATED IN THE COUNTY OF BLACK HAWK AND STATE OF IOWA and, WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo will accept responsibility for all taxes, special assessments and closing costs in connection with this transaction. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, the donation of property generally described as 200 Merriman Street and 1527 E. 4th Street from members of Grey Fox Properties LLC, is hereby accepted, and the Mayor is hereby directed to execute the donation agreements and quit claim deeds.
