Originally in March 2017 we requested and received permission to make repairs for the amount of $17,980.52 via a contract with Brecke. During the repairs, Brecke discovered conditions that concluded that the boiler could not cost effectively be repaired. At that point we decided to stop work on the existing contract. The have submitted the cost of worked to date of $9,645.54, leaving a total of $8.344.98 on the original contract. We have received a quoted price to purchase anew boiler in the amount of $51,250 from C.H. McGuiness Co., Inc. and a cost of $25, 246.98. I have prepared a pre-auth for the boiler replacement of $51,250 for Monday 5-15-17 agenda.
