RESOLUTION NO. 2011-980
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF SPLASH OF
COLOR BREAST CANCER SUPPORT GROUP FOR A
VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE NO. 3094, NOISE
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Seeds of Hope is requesting a variance to the Noise
Ordinance on October 15, 2011 from 6: 00 p.m. to 12 : 00 p.m. , in
conjunction with the Rock the Purple event to be held at Sullivan
Park, including a DJ and the use of a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance
No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Seeds of hope has made formal application for
a variance on October 15, 2011 from 6: 00 p.m. to 12 : 00 p.m. , in
conjunction with the Rock the Purple event to be held at Sullivan
Park, including a DJ and the use of a PA system, together with
recommendation and approval of the Director of Safety Services .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Seeds of Hope for a variance
to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on October 15, 2011 from
6: 00 p.m. to 12 : 00 p.m. , in conjunction with the Rock the Purple
event to be held at Sullivan Park, including a DJ and the use of
a PA system, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of October 2011 .
