RESOLUTION NO. 2012-240
RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO GRANT
AGREEMENT WITH FEDERAL AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
REHABILITATION OF RUNWAY 12/30, AT THE
WATERLOO REGIONAL AIRPORT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, through the Waterloo Regional
Airport, executed a Grant Agreement, with the FFA, for Runway
12/30 for Rehabilitation and Acquisition of Runway Friction
Equipment (FME) , and
WHEREAS, the grant was for $2, 683, 940 . 00 to fund 95% of
eligible costs, and
WHEREAS, the Runway 12/30 Project was completed without
purchasing the FME, as the electronic version was discontinued,
and
WHEREAS, the grant agreement specifies rehab of both Runway
12/30 and FME, the City is required to amend the agreement by
removing the FME verbiage, in order to close out the grant.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Grant Agreement with the FFA, be amended
to remove verbiage regarding FME purchase and the same hereby
approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to execute the
same on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
