RESOLUTION NO. 2017-332
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF ABATE OF IOWA,
DISTRICT 16, TO HOLD ITS ANNUAL MOTORCYCLE
AWARENESS RIDE ON MAY 20TH, 2017, STARTING AT 10:30
A.M. IN THE BLACK HAWK COUNTY COURTHOUSE
PARKING LOT, TRAVELING THROUGHOUT BLACK HAWK
COUNTY, AND ENDING THE RIDE AT SILVER EAGLE
HARLEY DAVIDSON.
WHEREAS, ABATE of Iowa, District 16 has requested that they be allowed to hold a
Motorcycle Awareness Ride on May 20, 2017, together with the approval of the Captain of
Police Services, and
WHEREAS said event will begin with registration at 10:00 a.m. at the Black Hawk
County Courthouse with the ride departing at 12:00 noon and traveling throughout hout Black Hawk
County, and concluding at Silver Eagle Harley-Davidson.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of ABATE of Iowa, District 16 to hold a Motorcycle
Awareness Ride on May 20, 2017, with said event beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Black Hawk
County Courthouse with the ride departing at 12:00 noon and traveling throughout Black Hawk
County, and concluding at Silver Eagle Harley-Davidson, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of May 2017.
