RESOLUTION NO. 2017-367
REQUEST OF BRIAN HELMEICHS FOR A VARIANCE TO THE
NOISE ORDINANCE ON JULY 8, 2017 FROM 12:00 P.M. TO
10:00 P.M. TO HOLD THE SAVE THE EXCHANGE SKATE
PARK MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL, LOCATED AT 707 PARK
ROAD, INSIDE THE SKATE PARK, ALONG WITH LIVE BANDS
AND A PA SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Brian Helmeichs,has requested a Variance to the Noise Ordinance on July
8, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. to hold the Save the Exchange Skate Park Music &Arts
Festival, located at 707 Park Road, inside the Skate Park, including live bands and use of a P.A.
system and approval of Captain of Police Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094,Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Brian Helmeichs, for a variance to Noise Ordinance
No. 3094 on July 8, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in conjunction with the Save the
Exchange Skate Park Music &Arts Festival, including live bands and use of a P.A. system and
recommendation of Captain of Safety Services, is hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of May 2017.
