ORDINANCE NO. 5400
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2007 CITY OF WATERLOO
CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING TITLE 7 PUBLIC WAYS
AND PROPERTY, CHAPTER 8 LEISURE, CULTURAL AND ARTS
SERVICES, SECTION 5 USE OF WEAPONS, FIREWORKS,
SUBSECTION A, WEAPONS, EXPLOSIVES, FIREWORKS, ETC., BY
PROHIBITING THE USE OF FIREWORKS ON CITY PROPERTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA AS FOLLOWS:
That the 2007 City of Waterloo Code of Ordinances be amended by amending
Title 7, Public Ways and property, Chapter 8, Leisure, Cultural and Arts Services, Section
5, Use of Weapons, Fireworks, Subsection A, Weapons, Explosives, Fireworks, Etc. and
inserting in lieu thereof an amended subsection A, as follows:
7-8-5: USE OF WEAPONS, FIREWORKS:
A. Weapons, Explosives, Fireworks, Etc.: No person shall use or carry
any firearms, air or pellet guns, explosives, weapons, firecrackers or
fireworks of any character in any public park except as otherwise provided
by this code. No person shall use any fireworks on city property.
