Description: Item 107 — Stainless Steel Pull Box and Conduit for Generator Connector Box - (1.0 LS ® $2,300.00 = $2,300.00) Item 108 — Modifications for Radar Unit - (1.0 LS ® $6,734.76 = $6,734.76) Item 109 — Additional Riprap — (1.0 LS ® $8,422.40 = $8,422.40) Item 110 — Fence Around Gate Well — (1.0 LS ® 87,935.00 = $7,935.00) Item 111— Sump Pit in Valve Vault — (1.0 LS ® $506.00 = $506.00) Reason for Change Order Item 107 — The Generator Connector Box supplied has connections for the portable generator cables in the bottom of the box. As a result, there is no bottom access for the conduit connections from the Generator Connector Box to the MCC utilizing the conduit stubbed out of the floor slab directly below the box. These connections must be made into the side of the Generator Connection Box. In order to make these connections, additional conduit and a stainless steel pull box must be installed. This change order covers the cost to supply, fabricate and install the conduit and pull box necessary to make these connections. Item 108 — In order for the radar level detection unit to work properly, the hole in the floor needs to be enlarged. This is necessary to ensure the radar unit does not receive false readings due to the signal bouncing off the edges of the opening. Item 109 — Additional riprap is being installed on the north and east sides of the pump station to cover the 3:1 slopes. This will limit the maintenance required on these steep slopes by eliminating the need for mowing. Item 110 — Fence is being added around the gate well to limit the vandalism damage to the new gate actuators. Item 111— A sump pit is being added to the floor of the valve vault so maintenance crews don't have to work in standing water. This pit will allow a temporary sump pump to be dropped into the structure to pump out the water.
