4-2 Class E Riprap, with Engineering Fabric (50 TON @ $34.00/TON) $ 1,700.00
4-3 Topsoil, Furnish and Spread (30 Tandem Axle Loads @ $395.00/Load) $ 11,850.00
4-4 Removal of Unsuitable Soil (20 Tandem Axle Loads @ $100.00/Load) $ 2,000.00
4-5 Wood Excelsior Mat (19,500 SF @ $0.28/SF) $ 5,460.00

Reason for Change Order
All Items The west ditch of Highway 218 north of Marigold Drive is continuously wet. As a result, the permanent seeding does not
germinate. Since the ditch is not stabilized it is eroding. In order to stabilize this ditch and resolve this issue a perforated
subdrain will be installed in the bottom of the ditch to handle the continuous daily flow. Once the subdrain is working and
the ditch line dries out it will be restored with seed and wood excelsior mat and wattles will be placed across the ditch to
stop erosion while the seed germinates.
