RESOLUTION NO. 2011-915
RESOLUTION APPROVING IRVING ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL SAFE ROUTE TO SCHOOL (SRTS) GRANT
APPLICATION TO IOWA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION, AND AUTHORIZE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the Engineering, Planning, and Traffic Operations
staff has identified the need for the following improvements:
1 . A Fully signalized intersection at West Fifth and Baltimore
Streets; and
WHEREAS, fees for this project, for materials and
engineering design and construction review services, are
estimated to be $92, 000 . 00 .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, that the SRTS grant application of the Irvine Elementary
School be is hereby approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are
authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa.
