Safe Routes To School
Irving Elementary Traffic Signal Project
W 5th Street and Baltimore Street
Submitted by: Sandie Greco, Traffic Operations Superintendent
Recommended City Council Action: Resolution approving the award of contract to the low
bidder KWS of Cedar Falls, Iowa in the amount of $118,987.50 and
authorize the mayor to sign it.
Summary Statement: The project was let by Iowa DOT for installation of traffic signals. There
will be pedestrian signal heads with push buttons as part of this project.
Expenditure Required: $118,987.50
Source of Funds: Safe Routes To School Federal Grant and GO Bond
