Re: Benefit Consulting Proposal
Dear Ms. Schares,
A Subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
Our agreement with the City to provide benefit consulting services has been in effect since
October of 2010. It calls for an annual fee of $5,000. Due to the variable nature of our work
with the City, we are proposing moving to an hourly billing arrangement, not to exceed
$5,000. We propose that the term of this agreement run from December 1, 2012 to
December 31, 2014. The Gallagher Benefit Services 2013 hourly rates are attached as an
addendum to this proposal for your reference
Scope of Services
1. Assistance with annual self-funded plan rate and reserve funding rates. After
analyzing the City's health plan revenues and expenses, we will develop
recommended annual funding rates and reserve margins. Gallagher Benefit Services
will provide both two (2) reports, 1) pre -renewal projections for budgeting
projections and 2) final renewal projections based on most up to date claim
information.
2. Should the City require alternate plan design options not previously contemplated or
alternate projections, GBS will submit a proposed fee for those additional services to
the City prior to commencing work.
Gallagher Benefit Services and I, personally, appreciate our relationship with you and the
City. We look forward to continuing this relationship into the future.
