STORM SEWER MANHOLE AND VALVE REPLACEMENT
ADDITIONAL DESIGN AND
CONSTRUCTION -RELATED SERVICES
SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 2
WHEREAS, a Professional Services Agreement was entered into between the City of Waterloo, Iowa (Client),
and AECOM Technical Services, Inc. (ATS) of Waterloo, Iowa, dated May 23, 2011, for the design survey and
final design for the Dry Run Creek Storm Sewer Manhole and Valve Replacements in Waterloo, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, the Client and ATS entered into Supplemental Agreement No. 1 dated October 22, 2012, for
construction -related services for that portion of the project including the Dry Run Creek Gatewell Replacement;
and
WHEREAS, the Client and ATS now desire to enter into Supplemental Agreement No. 2 for design and
construction -related services for that portion of the project including one additional Dry Run Creek Gatewell
Replacement and one gatewell replacement near the Cattle Congress Pump Station.
NOW THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed to amend the original Professional Services Agreement as follows:
I. Project Description
The project consists of the removal and replacement of one gate valve and storm sewer manhole
structure which outlets into the Dry Run Creek Arch Storm Sewer, in addition to removal and
replacement of one gate valve near the Cattle Congress Pump Station. The project includes storm
sewer connections, site restoration and other incidental items for both locations.
II. Scope of Services
The Scope of Services will encompass and include services, materials, equipment, personnel and
supplies necessary to provide design survey, construction plan and specification preparation, change
order preparation, construction staking, field review, materials testing and contract administration during
the construction phase for the project defined above. The Scope of Services is further defined as
follows:
Task 1. Complete required design survey at both gatewell locations.
Task 2. Preparation of construction plans and specifications in a format suitable for developing a
change order to existing City Contract No. 814, Dry Run Creek Gatewell Replacement.
Task 3. Preparation of change order to obtain pricing for contract modifications to City Contract No.
814.
Task 4. Provide construction -staking for horizontal and vertical controls for the project as defined in the
project plans.
Task 5. Review shop drawings and other submittals as required of the Contractor by the contract
documents for conformance with the design concept of the project and compliance with the information
given in the contract documents.
Task 6. Answer design interpretation questions from the Client, Contractor, review staff and appropriate
agencies.

Task 7. Perform construction site visits by design personnel at appropriate stages of construction to
review the quality of the work and to determine whether the work conforms to the contract documents.
Task 8. Provide the Client with a copy of revised drawings of the construction plans (record drawings)
for the project based on the construction observation records of the field review staff and the Contractor
showing those changes made during construction considered significant.
III. Compensation
Compensation for the above services will be on an hourly basis in accordance with Part VI of the original
agreement and integrated with the fees in Supplemental Agreement No. 1. Compensation shall be
increased by Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($9,900.00) for a total fee of Sixty -Three Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($63,500.00).
IV. In all other respects, the obligations of the Client and ATS shall remain as specified in the Professional
Services Agreement dated May 23, 2011, and subsequent amendments.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Supplemental Agreement No. 2 as of the dates
shown below:
