You are directed to make the following changes in the Contract Documents. Description:
Reason for Change Order:
In an effort to expedite the project completion the asphalt transition section has been converted to a
Portland cement concrete pavement transition section. This will allow the prime contractor to complete
the transition section as part of the pavement operation and ultimately the pavement will be opened
sooner. This conversion will allow the contractor to complete the paving operation and have the apron
open to air traffic ahead of schedule and prior to the Waterloo Air Show.
The new PCC pavement transition section will be 8" thick and doweled to the existing pavement slabs
and jointed in accordance with the existing pavement. There will be thickened edges and an expansion
joint between the new pavement and the transition section.

THIS DOCUMENT SHALL BECOME AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT AND ALL
STIPULATIONS AND COVENANTS OF THE CONTRACT SHALL APPLY HERETO.
