Project Rehabilitate Apron Phase 3A

You are directed to make the following changes in the Contract Documents. Description:
Reason for Change Order:
During the removal of existing pavement it was determined that there is an underlying concrete slab
below the apron surface area. This buried and un -bonded slab had been encountered on the previous
apron reconstruction project. There was no buried slab under the Taxiway A project which is directly
north of this project. Based on the previous apron project it was believed that this buried slab had been
removed as part of the previous apron project. The joint lines indicated a change in pavement section
and/or base section.
The area of this buried slab extends under most of the area for Phase 3A. As a result of the additional
pavement depth the unclassified excavation quantity will be deleted from the project. Special Backfill
(recycled concrete pavement) shall be provided to fill the depth between the pavement removal limits
and the P-208 base course.

Reason for Change Order:

change(s) ordered herein, including all impact, delays, and acceleration costs. Other than the dollar amount and time
allowance listed above, there shall be no further time or dollar compensation as a result of this Change Order.
THIS DOCUMENT SHALL BECOME AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT AND ALL
STIPULATIONS AND COVENANTS OF THE CONTRACT SHALL APPLY HERETO.
