RESOLUTION NO. 2017-405
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF MAIN STREET
WATERLOO, TO HOLD MY WATERLOO DAYS FESTIVAL
FROM JUNE 8-10, 2017 FROM 11:00 A.M. TO MIDNIGHT,
INCLUDING A NOISE VARIANCE AND STREET CLOSURES
PER THE ATTACHED MAP.
WHEREAS, Main Street Waterloo is requesting permission to hold the My Waterloo
Days Festival including street closures, per the attached map, for the annual festival from June 8-
10, 2017, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance,
and
WHEREAS, said Main Street Waterloo has made formal application for a variance to the
Noise Ordinance for the annual festival to be held at Lincoln Park from June 8-10, 2017 from
11:00 a.m. to midnight with live bands and use of a PA system, together with recommendation
and approval of the Captain of Police Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Main Street Waterloo to hold the My Waterloo Days
Festival, associated street closures per the attached map, and a variance to the Noise Ordinance
for an outdoor event to be held at Lincoln Park from June 8-10, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to
midnight with live bands and use of a PA system, is hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of June 2017.
