RESOLUTION NO. 2017-454
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMMUNITY GARDEN
AGREEMENT, NOT TO EXCEED THREE (3) YEARS, WITH
THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH AND EMBARC, (ETHNIC
MINORITIES OF BURMA ADVOCACY AND RESOURCE
CENTER) TO GARDEN FOUR (4) CITY OWNED PARCELS
LOCATED BETWEEN 133 AND 157 UNIVERSITY AVENUE
AND AUTHORIZE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
AGREEMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, that the resolution approving the Community Garden Agreement, not to exceed three (3)
years, with the First Baptist Church and EMBARC, (Ethnic Minorities of Burma Advocacy and
Resource Center) to garden four (4) city owned parcels located between 133 and 157 University
Avenue, is hereby approved and the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute the same on
behalf of the City of Waterloo.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of June 2017.
