This training will allow the officers to contact these individuals via the Internet, identify them, arrest them and assist in their prosecution. Internet Crimes Against Children are increasing at an alarming rate and the Waterloo Police Department has made the investigation of these crimes a priority. To properly investigate Internet Crimes Against Children, there is certain equipment that must be purchased and utilized. The Waterloo Police Department is applying to the Black Hawk County Gaming Association to purchase that equipment. These items include forensic examination equipment and a computerized polygraph system. The forensic examination equipment, to include laptop and software would be used to gather evidence and identify the suspect. The polygraph equipment, including laptop and software would be used during the investigation and interview of the suspect. All of this equipment will aid in the prosecution of the suspect.
