We have been requested by the Iowa DOT Right -of -Way Department to provide exhibits and
descriptions, as well as staking right-of-way lines for additional parcels, in the project corridor. To
accommodate this, we request that Task 3 of the original agreement be amended to include limited
right-of-way staking and Task 53 include the addition of five parcels.
The work to be provided is further described by the following tasks:
Task 1 - Exhibits and Descriptions for Temporary Easements. This task includes the preparation of
temporary easement exhibits and legal descriptions for parcels which are being acquired by
eminent domain. A total of five temporary easements are included in this task.
Task 2 - Staking of Right -of -Way Lines. This task includes the staking of approximate right-of-way
and easement lines in the field for use by right-of-way acquisition agents. Approximate lines will be
marked with lath or paint lines. The Iowa DOT or City will be responsible for obtaining property
owner consent prior to the staking. A total of five parcels are included in this task, and all parcels
will be staked at the same time.
The estimated hours to complete this work includes 16 hours of land surveyor, 12 hours survey
technician, 16 hours CADD operator and 4 hours project support. The estimated cost for these
hours is Three Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($3,900.00). The maximum amount payable has
been previously approved for this agreement. We have reviewed the status of the current budget
and determined enough funds remain to complete the work.
The present agreement expired June 30, 2010. To complete this work, we request to continuously
extend the completion date to October 31, 2010.
