The undersigned parties hereby agree to modify the above referenced contract
according to the terms and conditions described below:
1. Work & Items
Furnish and install two 10' signal poles and push buttons.
2. Why is this work needed:
At southbound US 218 at Williston the existing poles are only 8 ft in length. The
contractor has added 3 -section heads as per plans. Addition of 3 -section heads has
made the signal head's vertical clearances non-compliant. 10 ft poles and new
pedestrian push buttons are needed.
3. Work Involved:
This contract modification is for taking off the existing installed signal heads, removing
the existing 8 ft poles, furnishing and installing new 10 ft poles, re -installing signal heads,
and installing new push buttons. Poles will be with cast -alum t -bases (breakaway).
4. Costs:
The cost for each pole shall be $2,100. The total change shall be $4,200. The contract
price of $93,782 shall increase to $97,982.
The cost includes removing the existing bases and installing new bases or working with
the existing concrete base. Either way the cost shall remain the same.
