I hereby give permission to the Iowa Department of Economic Development (TOED) to research the Business' history,
make credit checks, contact the Business' financial institutions, insurance carriers, and perform other related activities
necessary for reasonable evaluation of this application. T also hereby authorize the Iowa Department of Revenue to provide
to IDED state tax Information pertinent to the Business' state income tax, sales and use tax, and state tax credits claimed.
I understand that all information submitted to IDED related to this application is subject to Iowa's Open Record Law
(Iowa Code, Chapter 22).
I understand this application is subject to final approval by IDED and the Project may not be initiated until final approval is
secured.

RESOLUTION NO. 2010-433
RESOLUTION APPROVING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
ASSISTANCE THROUGH THE STATE OF IOWA'S HIGH
QUALITY JOBS PROGRAM FOR DEERE & COMPANY.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has received a request from Deere
& Company to approve an application to the State of Iowa for the
High Quality Jobs Program; and
WHEREAS, the High Quality Jobs Program is established to
promote economic development in the State of Iowa; and
WHEREAS, John Deere is currently considering a significant
investment to modernize the Waterloo Foundary to sustain competitive
manufacturing processes in the facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Council supports the application for the
High Quality Jobs Program by Deere & Company and recommends it be
approved by the Iowa Department of Economic Development.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7h day of June, 2010.
