RESOLUTION NO. 2017-487
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF FAITH TEMPLE
BAPTIST CHURCH ABCUSA & LINC FOR A VARIANCE TO
ORDINANCE ON JULY 8, 2017 FROM 8:30 A.M. TO 12:00
P.M. FOR A COMMUNITY WIDE ZUMBATHON, TO BE
HELD AT FERGUSON FIELD PARK IN WATERLOO,
INCLUDING A PA SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Faith Temple Baptist Church ABCUSA & LINC, together with
recommendation and approval of the Captain of Police Services, is requesting a variance to the
Noise Ordinance on July 8, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the Community Wide
Zumbathon to be held at Ferguson Field Park in Waterloo, including a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance No. 3094, Noise
Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Faith Temple Baptist Church ABCUSA & LINC for a
variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, in conjunction with a Community Wide
Zumbathon at Ferguson Field Park on July 8, 2017, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., be hereby
approved.
