RESOLUTION NO. 2017-512
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO PELLA
ROOFING OF VINTON, IOWA, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$65,995.00, FOR BASE BID AND ALTERNATE BID NO. 1, FOR
IMPROVEMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH HANGAR NO. 5 AT THE
WATERLOO REGIONAL AIRPORT AND AUTHORIZE THE
AIRPORT DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Pella Roofing, of Vinton, Iowa submitted a bid in the amount of$65,995.00,
along with contract, bond, and certificate of insurance, and is the apparent low bidder for base
bid and alternate bid No. 1, in conjunction with improvements associated with Hangar No. 5 at
the Waterloo Regional Airport.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA that the bid of Pella Roofing of Vinton, Iowa, for base bid and alternate
bid No. 1, in an amount not to exceed $65,995.00, is hereby awarded and the contract, bond, and
certificate of insurance in conjunction with the improvements associated with Hangar No. 5 at
the Waterloo Regional Airport, described in the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council
for said project with Resolution No. 2017-446, after public hearing on June 12, 2017, on
published notice required by law are hereby approved, and the Airport Director is authorized and
directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
