RESOLUTION NO. 2017-514
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO MCGILL
RESTORATION, INC. OF OMAHA, NE, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$444,854.00, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FOR THE FY 2017 EAST 5TH
STREET PARKING GARAGE REPAIRS, CONTRACT NO. 930, AND
AUTHORIZE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, McGill Restoration, Inc. of Omaha, Nebraska submitted a bid in the
amount of$444,854.00, along with contract, bond, and certificate of insurance, and is the
apparent low bidder for base bid and alternate bid No. 1, in conjunction with the FY
2017 East 5th Street Parking Garage Repairs, Contract No. 930.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the bid of McGill Restoration, Inc. of Omaha, Nebraska, in the
amount of$444,854.00, is hereby awarded and the contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance in
conjunction with the FY 2017 East 5th Street Parking Garage Repairs, Contract No. 930,
described in the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2017-450, after public hearing on June 12, 2017, on published notice required by
law are hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute
the same on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
