RESOLUTION NO. 2017-562
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT
TO ASPRO, INC. OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED $575,859.35 IN CONJUNCTION WITH BID
PACKAGE NO. 2, (RUNWAY 12-30 PAVEMENT JOINT
REPAIR AT BRAVO 1, CRACK-SEAL PREVENTATIVE
MAINTENANCE, AND THE REPAINTING OF AIRFIELD
PAVEMENTS), AT WATERLOO REGIONAL AIRPORT VIA
FAA GRANT NO. 3-19-0094-0045, AND AUTHORIZE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Aspro, Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of
$575,859.35, in conjunction with Bid Package No. 2, (Runway 12-30 pavement joint repair at
Bravo 1, crack-seal preventative maintenance, and the repainting of airfield pavements), at the
Waterloo Regional Airport via FAA Grant No. 3-19-0094-0045, and is the apparent low bidder
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA that the bid of Aspro, Inc., Waterloo Iowa, in an amount not to exceed
$575,859.35, in conjunction with the improvements associated with Bid Package No. 2, (Runway
12-30 pavement joint repair at Bravo 1, crack-seal preventative maintenance, and the repainting
of airfield pavements), at the Waterloo Regional Airport, described in the specifications
heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No. 2017-503, after public
hearing on June 26, 2017, on published notice required by law is hereby awarded and approved
and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of
the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of July 2017.
