This Letter of Intent is by the City of Waterloo, Iowa hereinafter referred to as City, and for the
benefit of the Black Hawk County Conservation Board hereinafter referred to as BHCCB.
WHEREAS, the City and BHCCB are jointly cooperating in the development of the Sherwood Park
Recreation Area and Hartman Reserve Expansion;
AND WHEREAS, the City owns multiple properties within the area of the Sherwood Park
Recreation Area and Hartman Reserve Expansion;
AND WHEREAS, the City intends to convey City properties within the area that are to be
developed as the Hartman Reserve Expansion to BHCCB;
AND WHEREAS, BHCCB has indicated intent to apply for grant funds for the development of a
boat ramp and parking area located on a portion of Lots 49, 50, 51 and 52 of Sherwood Park along
Greenwood Avenue just east of Highway 218, also referred to as Parcel # 891316326013, Parcel #
891316326026, Parcel # 891316326027, Parcel # 891316326029, and Parcel # 891316326038.
AND WHEREAS, City supports BHCCB's application for grant funding and intends to convey the
above described property upon which the boat ramp and parking area would be developed to
BHCCB prior to construction of the boat ramp or parking area by BHCCB.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, the City of Waterloo has executed this Letter of Intent as of this 23`d day
of January, 2012.
