The City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in Regular Session in the Council Chambers of the City Hall in said City at 7:30 P.M., on July 22, 1968. Mayor Turner in the Chair. Present: Councilmen Cavanaugh, Cohea, Dykeman, Keller, Miller and Schmit. Absent: None. Rev. Kenneth Strecker, Pastor of St. Ansgar Lutheran Church offered the Invocation. 54793 - Moved by Cavanaughseconded by Dykemanthat the Agenda, as proposed, for the Regular Session of July 22, 1968, at 7.30 P.M., be accepted and approved. Motion carried, 54794 - Moved by K elle r, seconded by Cohea that the Minutes of the Regular Session held July 15, 1968, at 7:30 P.M., and the Minutes of the Board of Health meeting held July 15, 1968 at 830 P.M., be approved. Motion carried. 54795 - Moved by Schmit, seconded by Miller that the proof of publication of Notice to Bidders for purchase of Workmen's Compensation Insurance for various departments of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, be received and placed on file. Ray Hughes Addition in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, the City Engineer's report, deed of dedication, City Planning Commission's resolution of approval, and two waiver of assessments for street and sewer improvements on cer- tain streets and easements, and recommending approval, be received, placed on file, and Resolution No, 19042, approving said Preliminary Plat, be adopted. Flammang, husband and wife, wherein the City of Waterloo offers to buy certain properties in the Lewis Miller's Small Farms addition for the sum of $13,500, to be used in the Ansborough Right -of -Way Program, and recommending approval, be received, placed on file, approved with provisions that taxes up to date be paid by the seller, up-to-date abstract and deed furnished by seller and approved by the City Attorney, and the City Clerk authorized and directed to execute said Contract with the above provisions, on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, On roll call, Cavanaugh, Cohea, Dykeman, Keller, Miller and Schmit voted Aye.
