RESOLUTION NO. 2015-111
RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE
VACATION OF A PORTION OF THE EXISTING 20'
WIDE ALLEY, LOCATED ADJACENT TO LOTS 1, 2, 9
AND 10 WITHIN BLOCK 16 OF HAYES ADDITION, AS
MARCH 2, 2015, AT 5 : 30 P.M. IN HAROLD E.
GETTY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, WATERLOO,
IOWA, AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
shall meet in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers, City Hall, in
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 5 : 30 p.m. on the 2nd day of March,
2015, for the purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal
to vacate a portion of the existing 20' wide alley, located
adjacent to Lots 1, 2, 9 and 10 within Block 16 of Hayes
Addition, for the purpose of creating a better land paid for
future development, and legally described as follows :
That part of an alley located lying Northwesterly of a
line drawn between the Easterly most corner of Lot 10,
Block 16, Hayes Addition and the Southerly most corner
of Lot 1, Block 16, Hayes Addition, and lying
Southeasterly of a line drawn between the Southerly
most corner of Lot 3, Block 16, Hayes Addition and the
Northerly most corner of Lot 9, Block 16, Hayes
Addition, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
Section 2 . That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of February, 2015 .
