RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE
VACATION OF A 20' WIDE BY APPROXIMATELY 110'
LONG STORM SEWER EASEMENT, LOCATED ON LOT A
OF CROSSROADS CENTER RETAIL ADDITION, AND THE
DEDICATION OF A NEW EASEMENT FOR THE
RELOCATION OF THE STORM SEWER, AS MARCH 2,
2015, AT 5 : 30 P.M. IN HAROLD E. GETTY COUNCIL
CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, WATERLOO, IOWA, AND
INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE
NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
shall meet in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers, City Hall, in
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 5 : 30 p.m. on the 2nd day of March,
2015, for the purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal
to vacate a 20' wide by approximately 110' long storm sewer
easement, located on Lot A of Crossroads Center Retail Addition,
and the dedication of a new easement for the relocation of the
storm sewer, for the purpose of constructing a new restaurant on
the site, and legally described as follows:
That part of Lot A in "Crossroads Retail Center
Addition" to the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa, described as follows :
Commencing at the Northeast corner of said Lot A;
thence along the East line of said Lot A South
000181 West a distance of 5 . 53 feet to the Southerly
line of an existing Storm Sewer Easement;
thence along said Southerly line South 69043' 20"
West a distance of 163 . 38 feet to the East line of an
existing Storm Sewer Easement, being the point of
beginning;
thence along the East line of said Storm Sewer
Easement South 00°231-x' West a distance of 112 . 91 feet;
thence North 80048' West a distance of 20 . 24 feet
to the West line of said Storm Sewer Easement;
thence along said West line North 000231-x' East a
distance of 105 . 22 feet to the Southerly line of an
existing Storm Sewer Easement;
thence along said Southerly line North 82023135"
East a distance of 12 . 62 feet;
thence along said Southerly line North 69043120"
East a distance of 8 . 02 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 2, 170 sq. ft .
Note: The East line of said Lot A is assumed to bear
South 00018' West for this description.
Section 2 . That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
