RESOLUTION NO. 2017-584
REQUEST OF WATERLOO HOMECOMING ASSOCIATION
FOR VARIANCE TO NOISE ORDINANCE ON AUGUST 6,
2017 FROM 9:00 A.M. TO 8:00 P.M. IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE WATERLOO HOMECOMING EVENT, TO BE HELD AT
SULLIVAN PARK, INCLUDING THE USE OF A PA SYSTEM,
TOGETHER WITH RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL OF
CAPTAIN OF POLICE SERVICES.
WHEREAS, Waterloo Homecoming Association is requesting a variance to the Noise
Ordinance on August 6, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in conjunction with the Waterloo
Homecoming event to be held in and around Sullivan Park, including the use of a PA system,
together with the recommendation and approval of the Captain of Police Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094,Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Waterloo Homecoming Association for a variance to
the Noise Ordinance, on August 6, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., in conjunction with the
Waterloo Homecoming event to be held in and around Sullivan Park, including the use of a PA
system, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24t' day of July 2017.
