RESOLUTION NO. 2017-588
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARDING BID TO BITUMINOUS
MATERIALS & SUPPLY, L.P., OF DES MOINES, IOWA IN THE
AMOUNT OF $133,750 FOR ASPHALT EMULSIONS IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE CITY'S RECYCLED ASPHALT PAVING
PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Bituminous Materials & Supply, L.P., of Des Moines, Iowa submitted a bid
in the amount of $133,750 and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the Asphalt
Emulsions in conjunction with the City's Recycled Asphalt Paving Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA that the bid of Bituminous Materials & Supply, L.P., of Des Moines, Iowa,
in the amount of $133,750, for Asphalt Emulsions in conjunction with the City's Recycled
Asphalt Paving Program, described in the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for
said project with Resolution No. 2017-586, after public hearing on July 24, 2017, on published
notice required by law, is hereby awarded and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of July 2017.
