Sealed proposals will be received by the
City Clerk of the City of Waterloo,Iowa,at
her office in the City Hall of the said City
on 4he 10TH day of August,2017,until
1:00 p.m.for the construction of the BUS
STOP ADA IMPROVEMENTS, CON-
TRACT NO.937,as described in detail in
the plans and specifications now on file in
the Office of the City Clerk.
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened in
the First Floor Conference Room at City
I Hall,in the City of Waterloo,Iowa,on the
10TH day of August , 2017 , until 1:00
p.m., and the proposals will be acted
upon at such later time and place as may
then be fixed by the City Council.
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Council of
said City will conduct a public hearing on
the proposed plans, specifications, form
of contract,and estimate of cost for the
construction of the above-described im-
provement project at 5:30 p.m. on the
-14th day of August,2017,said hearing Signed
to be held in the Harold E.Getty Council
Chambers in City Hall in said City.The
proposed plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimate of cost for said I
improvements heretofore prepared by
AECOM are now on file in the office of the Subscribed and sworn to before me this
City Clerk for public examination,and any
person interested therein may file written
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said hearing, or
appear and make objection thereto with Day of A.D., 20
the City Clerk before the date set for said
hearing, or appear and make objection
thereto at the meeting above set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
Work included in this project is 435 SY of
6-inch PCC Sidewalk, 100 SY of 5-inch
Shared Use Path,355 SY of 4-inch PCC _J,
Sidewalk,270 SY of Sidewalk Removal, Notary Public
erosion control,curb and gutter replace-
ment,and other miscellaneous work at 24
bus stops spread around the City of
Waterloo.
Published pursuant to the provisions of Received of
Chapter 26 of the City Code of Iowa and
upon order to the City Council of said
Waterloo, Iowa, on the 24th,day July,
