Moved by Schmitt, seconded by Morrissey to Discuss Regulation of Roadside Memorials. Ayes:
Three. Motion carried.
Mr. Morrissey reviewed the proposed definition of a roadside memorial and the amendments to

this amendment clarifies who is responsible to enforce the ordinance.
Mr. Schmitt clarified that the City is responsible to maintain the DOT right-of-way.
Mr. Lind clarified that this is similar to the rules in place by the DOT.
Mr. Morrissey expressed concern with not allowing ground level memorials.
Mr. Jones explained that there is a way to purchase and place memorials in other areas. The
ordinance amendment will be brought to Council next week.
With no further business before the Council, it was moved by Morrissey, seconded by Schmitt
that the meeting be adjourned at 4:54 p.m. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
