Members present: Mayor Pro Tem Hart, Cole, Jones, Schmitt, Lind, Morrissey, and Welper.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Morrissey that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes:
Seven. Motion carried.
Dan Trelka, Director of Safety Service, reviewed the proposed amendment to the Chronic
Nuisance Properties. For the most part the property owners have worked with the City to correct
the issues.
Mr. Morrissey asked for clarification on section 554 the domestic abuse should not be counted.
Dan Trelka, Director of Safety Service, explained that domestic abuse, sexual assault are covered
under a different ordinance and aren't part of the accumulation of nuisance abatements.
Mr. Hart questioned if there should be a distinction between commercial and residential
properties due the difference in use and traffic of individuals. He questioned if they remain on
the list forever and it was explained that if they have no violations in a year they are removed
from the list.

Mr. Morrissey questioned if we have any chronic nuisance properties in town.

It was the consensus of the committee to place this ordinance change on next week's council
agenda.
With no further business before the committee, it was moved by Schmitt, seconded by Cole that
the meeting be adjourned at 5:08 p.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
