Members present: Chairperson Welper, Jones, Schmitt, Lind, and Morrissey. Absent: Cole,
Hart.
Moved by Schmitt, seconded by Morrissey that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes:
Five. Motion carried.
Moved by Morrissey, seconded by Schmitt that request for authorization from Chief of Fire
Services to initiate the Civil Service Process to create a Fire Fighter Recruit list, be approved.
Ayes: Five. Motion carried.
Pat Treloar, Chief of Fire Services, explained the upcoming vacancies and that this is creating a
two year Civil Service list.
Moved by Lind, seconded by Schmitt that request for authorization to fill a position for
Combination Inspector II at the Waste Management Services Department from a current Civil
Service List and make an appointment, be approved. Ayes: Five. Motion carried.
Larry Smith, Waste Management Superintendent, explained the necessity of this position.
With no further business before the committee, it was moved by Schmitt, seconded by Morrissey
that the meeting be adjourned at 5:07 p.m. Ayes: Five. Motion carried.
