RESOLUTION NO. 2017-707
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT
TO TSCHIGGFRIE EXCAVATING, OF DUBUQUE, IOWA IN
THE AMOUNT OF $108,507.60, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE
FOR THE FY 2018 BROCK 2ND ADDITION SANITARY
SEWER EXTENSION, CONTRACT NO. 932, AND
AUTHORIZE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc. of Clarksville, Iowa submitted a bid in the amount
of $39,792.70 and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the FY 2018 Brock 2nd
Addition Sanitary Sewer Extension, Contract No. 932.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA that the bid of Tschiggfrie Excavating, of Dubuque, Iowa, in the amount of
$108,507.60, is hereby awarded, and the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance in
conjunction with the FY 2018 Brock 2nd Addition Sanitary Sewer Extension, Contract No. 932,
described in the specifications heretofore adopted by Resolution No. 2017-657, after public
hearing on August 14, 2017, on published notice required by law, are hereby approved and
authorize the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of August 2017.
