RESOLUTION NO. 2015-388
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF CEDAR VALLEY
IRISH CULTURAL ASSOCIATION FOR A VARIANCE TO
NOISE ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 3094 .
WHEREAS, Cedar Valley Irish Cultural Association is
requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on July 31, 2015 from
4 : 00 p.m. to 12 : 00 midnight, August 1, 2015 from 10 : 00 a.m. to
12 : 00 midnight, and August 2, 2015 from 11 : 00 a.m. to 6: 00 p.m. in
conjunction with Iowa Irish Fest events that will be held at
Lincoln Park and the 300 block of East 4th Street, including live
bands and the use of a PA system, with recommendation and approval
of the Director of Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Noise
Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094, and
WHEREAS, said Cedar Valley Irish Cultural Association has
made formal application for a variance effective July 31, 2015
from 4 : 00 p.m. to 12 : 00 midnight, August 1, 2015 from 10 : 00 a.m.
to 12 : 00 midnight, and August 2, 2015 from 11 : 00 a.m. to 6: 00 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Cedar Valley Irish Cultural
Association for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance,
on July 31, 2015 4 : 00 p.m. to 12 : 00 midnight, August 1, 2015 from
10 : 00 a.m. to 12 : 00 midnight, and August 2, 2015 from 11 : 00 a.m.
to 6: 00 p.m. in conjunction with Iowa Irish Fest events that will
be held at Lincoln Park and the 300 block of East 4th Street,
including 1 i_ve bands and the use of a PA system, be and the same
