RESOLUTION NO. 2017-733
REQUEST BY FRATERNAL ORDER OF EAGLES FOR A
VARIANCE TO THE NOISE ORDINANCE ON SATURDAY,
SEPTEMBER 30, 2017 FROM 12:00 P.M. TO 11:00 P.M. FOR
THE "DANNY SHEA - FUND RAISER" EVENT TO BE HELD
IN THE PARKING LOT LOCATED AT 202 E. 1ST STREET,
INCLUDING FOOD VENDORS, MUSIC AND THE USE OF A
P.A. SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, the Fraternal Order of Eagles is requesting a variance to the Noise
Ordinance on September 30, 2017, from 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., for the "Danny Shea - Fund
Raiser" event to be held in the parking lot located at 202 E. 1St Street, including food vendors,
music and the use of a P.A. system, together with recommendation and approval of the Director
of Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance,
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,that the request of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for a variance to the
Noise Ordinance, on September 30, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., for the "Danny Shea-
Fund Raiser" event,to be held in the parking lot located at 202 E. 1St Street, including food
vendors, music and the use of a P.A. system, be granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of September 2017.
