RESOLUTION NO. 2017-750
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO MIDWEST LIFT WORKS,
LLC OF JORDAN, MINNESOTA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$36,828, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FOR THE WIRELESS
MOBILE COLUMN EQUIPMENT LIFTS PROJECT AND
AUTHORIZE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Midwest Lift Works, LLC of Jordan Minnesota, submitted a bid in the
amount of $36,828 and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the Wireless Mobile
Column Equipment Lifts Project.
WHEREAS, Midwest Lift Works, LLC of Jordan Minnesota, submitted a written contract
and certificate of insurance per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project with Resolution No. 2017-748, after public hearing on September 11, 2017, in
conjunction with Wireless Mobile Column Equipment Lifts Project
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Midwest Lift Works, LLC, in the amount of$36,828, is hereby
awarded in conjunction with Wireless Mobile Column Equipment Lifts Project.
2. That the contract and certificate of insurance submitted by Midwest Lift Works,
LLC in conjunction with the Wireless Mobile Column Equipment Lifts Project, is hereby
approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of September 2017.
