RESOLUTION NO. 2017-753
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO MARSDEN
BUILDING MAINTENANCE, LLC OF WATERLOO, IOWA IN
THE AMOUNT OF $2,245.82, PER MONTH ($26,949.84 PER
YEAR) AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FOR THE CITY OF
WATERLOO PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY JANITORIAL
SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Marsden Building Maintenance, LLC of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in
the amount of $2,245.82, per month ($26,949.84 per year) and is the apparent low bidder in
conjunction with the City of Waterloo Public Works Facility Janitorial Services, and
WHEREAS, Marsden Building Maintenance, LLC of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a
written contract and certificate of insurance per the specifications heretofore adopted by this
Council for said project with Resolution No. 2017-751, after public hearing on September 11,
2017 in conjunction with the City of Waterloo Public Works Facility Janitorial Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Marsden Building Maintenance, LLC of Waterloo, Iowa, in the
amount of$2,245.82, per month ($26,949.84 per year), in conjunction with the City of Waterloo
Public Works Facility Janitorial Services, is hereby awarded
2. That the contract and certificate of insurance submitted by Marsden Building
Maintenance, LLC of Waterloo, Iowa in conjunction with the City of Waterloo Public Works
Facility Janitorial Services, is hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of September 2017.
