RESOLUTION NO. 2014-555
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF TERRY WOODS OF
GATES PARK YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE 2014 FOR A
VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE NO. 3094, NOISE
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Terry Woods of Gates Park Youth Basketball League
2014 is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on July 6,
2014, from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m., in conjunction with a Gates
Park Youth Basketball League Tournament to be held at Gates Park
including a DJ and the use of a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance
No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Terry Woods of Gates Park Youth Basketball
League 2014 has made formal application for a variance effective
July 6, 2014, from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m., together with
recommendation and approval of the Director of Safety Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Terry Woods of Gates Park
Youth Basketball League 2014 for a variance to Ordinance No.
3094, Noise Ordinance, on July 6, 2014, from 12:00 noon to 9:00
p.m., in conjunction with a Gates Park Youth Basketball League
Tournament to be held at Gates Park, including a DJ and the use
of a PA system, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of July, 2014.
