Mr. Schmitt questioned if the funds for the Scoreboards for the Cedar Valley SportsPlex will be
paid for with grant money.
Michelle Weidner, Chief Financial Officer, explained the operating and donation funds for the
purchase.
Voice vote - Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper seconded by Jacobs that the project budget for the Impaired Driving
Countermeasures Grant Task 42, funded with $50,500 from the Governor's Traffic Safety
Bureau, as submitted by the Police Department, be approved. Voice vote - Ayes: Three.
Motion carried.
Moved by Welper seconded by Jacobs that the project budget amendment to increase forfeiture
funds received and related expenses by $100,000, as submitted by the Police Department, be
approved. Voice vote - Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Mr. Schmitt questioned where the funds will go.
Dan Trelka, Chief of Police, explained that the funds will be distributed through the Task Force
board.
Mr. Schmitt questioned what the funds will be used for.
Dan Trelka explained that the funds would be used to purchase a squad car for the task force.
Moved by Welper seconded by Jacobs that the project budget for the FY 2018 SportsPlex
Marketing Campaign, funded with discretionary hotel/motel taxes in the amount of $11,250 and
$300 from SportsPlex operations, as submitted by Leisure Services, be approved. Voice vote -
Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper seconded by Jacobs that Bills Payment, as contained in Accounts Payable
Invoice Report, dated September 25, 2017, in the amount of $3,227,776.36 be received, placed
on file and approved and forwarded to the full council for approval. Voice vote - Ayes: Three.
Motion carried.
With no further business before the committee, it was moved by Powers seconded by Jacobs that
the meeting be adjourned at 5:18 p.m. Voice vote - Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
