Members present: Chairperson Welper, Jacobs, Morrissey, Powers, Lind, Amos, and Schmitt.
Moved by Schmitt seconded by Amos that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Voice -vote
Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
Moved by Morrissey seconded by Amos that request from Community Development Director to
initiate the Civil Service process to fill the Rehabilitation Assistant position and make an
appointment, be approved. Voice -vote Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
Mr. Lind commented that on September 22nd the Civil Service Commission approved tests and
job descriptions for this position and questioned why this took place.
Rudy Jones, Community Development Director, explained that they needed to show HUD
forward progress on filling the position.
Mr. Schmitt questioned the funding for the position.

Mr. Schmitt questioned if the grant funds can only be used for funding the position.
Rudy Jones confirmed.
Moved by Morrissey seconded by Amos that request from Community Development Director to
initiate the Civil Service process to fill the Neighborhood Services Coordinator position and
make an appointment, be approved. Voice -vote Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
Mr. Schmitt questioned if the position has been filled by a part time position and if that position
will remain once the full time position is filled.
Rudy Jones explained the part time position would not remain once the Coordinator position is
filled.
With no further business before the committee, it was moved by Schmitt seconded by Morrissey
that the meeting be adjourned at 5:05 p.m. Voice -vote Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
