Subsequent review of the sidewalk by me confirms your report that water valve has been adjusted flush with the sidewalk. As for the sidewalk being marked, our experience with water valve adjustments has required us to be cautious with possible outcomes. The ease at which water valves can be adjusted varies and sometimes adjustment requires removal of the abutting sidewalk, especially if the water valve is partially or wholly within the sidewalk. This concern was why the sidewalk panel was marked. During my field inspection, I reviewed the marked sidewalk panel and found it to be within the City sidewalk specifications. Thus, with the water valve properly adjusted and the sidewalk not needing replacement, your property will be removed the 2016 Sidewalk Repair Program — Zone 6. If you receive any further communication from this office requiring repairs under the 2016 Sidewalk Repair Program — Zone 6, please contact me immediately so that we may investigate the matter.
