RESOLUTION NO. 2017-762
REQUEST OF TONIA MILLER AND MAURICE STOVALL
FOR A VARIANCE TO THE NOISE ORDINANCE NO. 3094,
ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2017 FROM 11:00 A.M. TO 9:00 P.M. IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE END OF SUMMER BLOCK BBQ
EVENT, TO BE HELD IN THE 300 BLOCK OF BOSTON
AVENUE, IN THE GATES PARK NEIGHBORHOOD,
INCLUDING MUSIC AND FOOD, TOGETHER WITH
RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL OF CAPTAIN OF
POLICE SERVICES.
WHEREAS, Tonia Miller and Maurice Stovall are requesting a variance to the Noise
Ordinance on September 30, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., in conjunction with the End of
Summer Block BBQ event,to be held in the 300 block of Boston Avenue, in the Gates Park
Neighborhood, including music and food, together with recommendation of approval of Captain
of Police Service, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance,
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Tonia Miller and Maurice Stovall for a variance to the
Noise Ordinance, on September 30, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., in conjunction with the
End of Summer Block BBQ event,to be held in the 300 block of Boston Avenue, in the Gates
Park Neighborhood, including music and food, be granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of September 2017.
